Pressurized Ultrafiltration P Series

Pressuized Ultrafiltration Introduction
Ultrafiltration (UF) is a type of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semipermeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight, such as bacteria, are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the 10-100 nm pores of the membrane. This separation process is commonly used in industry and research for purifying and concentrating solutions. Ultrafiltration may be applied in cross-flow or dead-end mode and separation in ultrafiltration undergoes concentration polarization.

Scinor, utilizing its TIPS fiber innovation, has developed a pressurized ultrafiltration product series (SMT-SMT 600 P series). Scinor Pressurized Ultrafiltration products have been used in wasterwater, drinking water, and seawater pretreatment and has been widely cited of their outstanding performance.

Technology Introduction
Scinor pressurized ultrafiltration products made with PVDF fibers using state-of-the-art TIPS technology provide higher flux, mechanical strength, and chemical tolerance. With added module benefits including balanced air and water path, outside-in configuration, and innovative potting with double sealing technology, Scinor’s pressurized UF ensures stable and reliable operation on almost any water source and at any extreme condition.

The outside-in configuration of Scinor Products enable them to operate in either dead-end mode or crossflow mode where internal recycle flow makes the membranes less susceptible to plugging & fouling enabling stable operating and less operational and maintenance costs on tough waters.
